The end of the school year always brings some sad GOOD-BYE. 

We would like to thank the following staff members who are moving on from Mann and thank them for all they have done for our school and community!

Charles Jamieson – Mr. Jamieson is moving to become the new principal at Pearson Elementary in Poulsbo.

Alexa Dayton – Miss Dayton will be teaching in Issaquah School District, closer to her new home.

Jess DeCoster – Mrs. DeCoster will be moving to a school closer to her home.

Rachel Haws – Ms. Haws has taken a position as a BCBA.

Erin Johnson- Mrs. Johnson has accepted a position at Clover Park School District closer to her home.

Launa Fuhrman – Ms. Fuhrman has accepted a position closer to her home.

Karen Wilson-Bielitz – Mrs. Wilson-Bielitz has taken a position with the Burlington School District closer to her new home.

Emma Jonsson – Ms. Jonsson has accepted a transfer to Barton Elementary where they are opening a new Learning Center.

Kate Howell – Miss Howell is moving to San Diego to get her masters in counselling.

Kathy Gasser - And last, but certainly not least – after 14 years of service to the students and community of Horace Mann, Mrs. Gasser will be retiring. Congrats Mrs. Gasser!!

While all the new staff has not been hired, there are a few who have. Starting in the fall, please welcome:

Jimmy Cho – Welcome back to Mr. Cho who will be returning to Mann as our new Associate Principal.

Ryan Turner – Mr. Turner will be joining us as a Learning Center Teacher. Mr. Turner used to teach at APL School in Seattle and has completed his student teaching at Rockwell Elementary.

Jacey Crane – Ms. Crane will be joining us as a gen ed teacher. She is moving to the area from California where she successfully taught intermediate grades for 4 years.

Olivia Pennell – Welcome back Ms. Pennell! Ms. Pennell was our school psychologist 5 years ago and is returning back to Mann.
