Lake Washington is a recognized leader in sustainability practices and education. Schools around the district encourage students to actively participate in sustainable practices throughout the year. 34 schools in the district have achieved – or are working toward – King County Green Schools recognition. The district has avoided 7,338 tons of carbon since 2014.
