Dear Families,
We're officially halfway through fall, and the energy around Horace Mann is as crisp as the weather outside! Thank you for filling our halls with warmth, enthusiasm, and school spirit - we are grateful for every family who keeps our community thriving.
Harvest parties are just around the corner next week, and we can already feel the excitement building. Our teachers and classroom leads have been dreaming up festive fun, and we're so grateful for the volunteers and families helping bring these celebrations to life.
Thank you to everyone who packed the gym for Movie Night - it was a huge success because of you! We also appreciate your patience and smiles during Picture Day, along with the care you showed while students participated in hearing and vision screenings. Together, these moments remind us how strong and supportive our community truly is.
Today we celebrated Unity Day - an annual reminder to choose kindness, acceptance, and inclusion in every interaction. Seeing our students and staff decked out in orange to take a stand against bullying was inspiring, and it reflects the heart of Horace Mann: every child welcome, every voice heard.
As October winds down, we can't wait to see all the creativity our Colts bring to Halloween costumes. Enjoy the rest of this cozy month, and thank you for making Horace Mann such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
Warmly,
Your PTSA Board
Horace Mann Elementary PTSA
Classroom harvest parties and our costume parade kick off Friday, 10/31, with the parade beginning around 3:30 PM. Thank you to the volunteers already set to celebrate with our Colts!
Please remember LWSD volunteer approval is required, costumes should stay friendly (no masks, makeup, or pretend weapons), and siblings cannot attend during school-day volunteering.

Make a Colt Corral donation →Movie Night was a blockbuster thanks to the Mann power behind the scenes! We loved gathering as a community and cheering on the silent auction that boosted the Colt Corral Fund.
